DREAM CASTING OF THE DAY: For years now, the father of Carly and Spencer Shay on Nickelodeon’s hit series iCarly has always remained a casting mystery. Various times that he’s been involved, including one episode in which he directly speaks with his daughter but his video feed is malfunctioned, creator Dan Schneider has found ways to creatively dodge the reveal. Now, with iCarly officially ending in June, he’s come up with the perfect actor for the role: Academy Award winner Tom Hanks.

The tweet is gaining some popularity, but it’s unclear if it will have any effect at all. But, it’s certainly a very spot-on casting choice that may actually become a reality if lucky enough.
